Abstract The terrain analysis is one of the important contents in urban planning, and it is one of the basic analysis of urban planning. It has a very wide application in different depths of urban planning. This paper studies and implements parts of the geography analysis algorithm based on the DEM basic data and related software in VC++.net programming environment.
