Abstract Railway track line parameters directly affect operation safety and passenger comfort. At present, track inspection trolleys are widely used in high-speed railway track construction, operation, and maintenance. This paper summarizeS the operation of track inspection trolleys in high-speed railway track inspection, based on the accuracy tests and fine-tuning practices on trolleys from the Guangzhou South High-speed Railway. We ran the tests and practices in the construction of the Chengdu to Chongqing Express Railway and the Chengdu to Guiyang High-speed Railway. This paper also proposes guidelines for railway measuring technology, the working theory of track inspection trolleys, operation process, and attention points of railway construction.
