This paper focuses on the teaching of Linux system courses in the field of IoT application technology at higher vocational colleges. It aims to build an ideology and politics resource library and explore innovative teaching methods and practical paths. The research highlights the deep integration of professional knowledge with ideology and politics elements, achieving an organic unity of knowledge imparting and value guidance through diversified teaching strategies. Data shows that after curriculum reform, students' professional skills, such as practical operation scores, have been significantly improved. Their ideology and politics literacy, reflected in knowledge test scores and attitude changes, has also strengthened. Moreover, their comprehensive abilities, like teamwork and innovative thinking, have developed substantially. This study offers a useful reference for cultivating IoT technology talents with both virtue and talent, promoting the effective implementation of ideology and politics in professional courses.
