Abstract In June 2019, the Ministry of Education officially approved 15 vocational and technical universities, and six universities
opened computer application engineering majors. In order to meet with the new requirements of the Ministry of Education for voca-
tional education, this paper studies and discusses on the undergraduate specialty construction program of "Computer Application En-
gineering" in vocational and technical universities. It puts forward the need to optimize the talent training scheme, construct the
teaching management system suitable for the vocational undergraduate course, construct the curriculum system which combines the
professional theory with practice, and strengthen the input of training base configuration.
