The Flash Flood Meteorological Information Transmission System Based on Beidou

Abstract  Fujian province is a frequent and easily occurrence area of mountain torrents with high frequency , wide scope of influence, and heavy loss, etc. Therefore, the Fujian Provincial Meteorological Service has built a lot of flash flood automatic stations in recent years to strengthen the monitoring of meteorological information. In this paper, the flash flood meteorological information transmission system based on Beidou is presented. The system can transmit the meteorological information of flash flood automatic stations to the provincial business system in time; especially can be used in the areas without GPRS network. It can also transmit meteorological data parallel with the flash flood automatic station’s GPRS link, back-up to each other.
