Abstract Information architecture is significantly effective for helping the researchers to carry on the scientific research activities. This paper analyzes the practice of information architecture theory in the website of Scientific Research Publishing in its construction of organization system, navigation system, search system and labeling system, which represents the database platforms of the scientific research literature in English language. The paper also summarizes the opportunities and challenges for the information architecture efforts of database platforms of the scientific research literature in English language.
