In view of the characteristics and properties of Java, this paper expounds the practice of the application of Java project in the application- oriented undergraduate colleges and universities. It elaborates the practice processing from teaching cases, teaching material construction and teaching resources. The project-based Java teaching method provides a good solution for the students to learn programming courses.
