Design of an Image Retrieval System Based on Content

Abstract With the rapid growth of network data, the requirement of image retrieval is becoming higher and higher. This paper introduces the text-based image retrieval system and content-based image retrieval system, and puts forward a retrieval system based on image content and its implementation method. The system uses image color, texture and edge as feature information, and applies these features to retrieval after processing. This system is more accurate and more efficient than text-based retrievalsystem.
