Based on the characteristics of data mining course and the existing problems in the teaching, this paper studies the hybrid
teaching improvement of data mining course, optimizes the teaching content, enriches the teaching mode, and improves the assessment and evaluation system to realize the process management of learning. The implementation of hierarchical and progressive practice tasks is used to promote the understanding and application of the principle of data mining algorithm, gradually from "Teacher
centered" teaching mode to "student-centered" mode. Practice has proved that the improved mixed teaching mode can mobilize the
