摘要
如今,图像处理算法的复杂度越来越高,图像处理的数据量越来越大,图像处理的实时性显得十分重要。为了解
决图像预处理、视频流数据实时性存在的问题,给出了一种基于FPGA和OV5640以Sobel算子进行边缘检测的图像采集与处
理系统设计方法,FPGA将OV5640摄像头采集到的视频流数据传送至SDRAM,由Sobel算子模板处理后通过VGA显示视频
图像。该设计基于Intel公司的Cyclone IV系列FPGA芯片EP4CE10F17C8进行了验证。实验结果表明,基于FPGA和Sobel边
缘检测算法,使用流水线设计和乒乓操作,可实现视频流数据处理的实时性。
Abstract
Nowadays, the complexity of image processing algorithm is more and more high, the amount of data in image processing
is more and more large, and the real-time performance of image processing is very important. In order to solve the problems of im-
age preprocessing and real-time video stream data, this paper presents a method of image acquisition and processing system based
on FPGA and OV5640 using Sobel operator for edge detection. FPGA transmits the video stream data collected by OV5640 camera
to SDRAM, which is processed by Sobel operator template and then is displayed through VGA. The design is based on
EP4CE10F17C8, which is the FPGA chip of the Cyclone IV series of Intel company. The experimental results show that the real-
time processing of video stream data can be realized by using pipeline design and ping-pong operation based on FPGA and Sobel
edge detection algorithm.
