Abstract：Self-enrollment is an authorized way for higher vocational colleges to recruit students by independently organizing exami-
nations. This article takes the enrollment of CNC equipment application and maintenance of Guangdong Mechanical & Electronic
Polytechnic as an example. Through the investigation and comparison of the performance of self-enrollment students and the recruit-
ing students from entrance to graduation in multiple dimensions to get the data and conclusions. Finally, it provides theoretical sup-
port and empirical basis for the reform and improvement of independent enrollment in higher vocational colleges and the improve-
ment of talent training quality assurance system.
