The transformation of newly-built local undergraduate colleges into application-oriented universities focuses on applica- tion-based and strengthening connotation construction. In the top-level design process of universities, a series of key institutional re- forms should be carried out from the application-oriented perspective. The on-campus laboratory is an important platform for stu- dents to practice. Reasonable setting of the laboratory system to suit the needs of application-oriented colleges and universities is es- sential to realize the functions of experimental teaching platforms and make the best use of them to cultivate talents and support man- power for the development of local economy.
