Abstract: In order to improve the initiative and enthusiasm of students to participate in the experiment and enhance the design abili- ty of FPGA course, three measures are taken in the experiment teaching reform, e.g. gradient setting of experiment project, all-round assessment of experiment and embedding CDIO education concept. The practical results show that the gradient setting and assess- ment are reasonable, and the attitude of the students to participate in the experimental teaching is improved significantly.
